-KOn the family, this option is allowed, but has no effect. It is permitted for compatibility with the GNU assembler on other platforms, where it can be used to warn when the assembler alters the machine code generated for `.word' directives in difference tables. The family does not have the addressing limitations that sometimes lead to this alteration on other platforms.
