Energy loss and multiple scattering are continuous processes that are applied at every step for charged particles in matter ( ).
As explained in [PHYS330] and [PHYS430], energy loss tables are calculated at initialisation time (GPHYSI) for all the materials which enter in the definition of a tracking medium (see [CONS200]). These tables contain NEK1 values of calculated for the corresponding values of energy in ELOW.
